Growing hoya is a great hobby

Why is growing hoyas a great hobby? - Why do I find growing hoyas an exciting and mediating process? Why are is this hobby positively addictive?

*First of all, hoya leaves - they are so incredibly different:), so different in size, hardness, leaf shape, and leaf color, and all hoya leaves want to be touched and felt and felt constantly:) The leaves are extremely tactile (tactile - from the Latin tactilis "touch"), when you feel the hoya leaves in the morning after waking up, you understand that your day has already been successful:)

*Secondly, the miracle of growing a baby hoyas - it is so interesting to watch both the growth of the roots of the new plant and the appearance of new leaves and tendrils, and each hoya, even specimens of the same variety, can grow differently. For example, one can start its growth with a tendril, but the same variety, from the same mother plant, only a different cutting, starts immediately with a leaf, I never know how each cutting will turn out:)

*Third reason - it is easy enough to renew the hoya variety, if the "old" plant suddenly decides to go to hoya paradise. Yes, yes, I know, that sometimes happens:(, then you just need to take the cuttings in time, and hello:), a new plant appears and grows again:)

*The next reason - hoyas blooming is a miraculous process and I have not yet had a single hoya blooming whose fragrance l I would not like, I am still yet to meet such a hoya:). All hoyas have a wonderful aroma and every variety has it's own smell:). Also, there are some hoya species/varieties whose flowers do not smell at all!

*Additionally - it is incredibly interesting to tame a complex hoya to yourself. Also, they do not simply grow on a windowsill in an ordinary flowerbed, it is much more complex process than that, And if and when this process - hoya taming - has resulted in success and the hoya finally recognizes and accepts you ... Oh, God, the feeling of satisfaction cannot be described at all:)

*And also - I warn you, hoyas can also be addictive - in a positive sense, of course:). At the moment the hoya genus includes more than 500 species where each species can have countless varieties ... in other words, this hobby can also grow to an incredible scale. My collection currently has 60 different varieties of hoyas, from different hoya species. I am expanding my collection more, including different hoya species, but, of course, there are species whose range of varieties is more represented, such as, for example, various Finlaysonii, various Lacunosa, etc.

All of the above is my version of why hoyas are a wonderful hobby! And I will be very incredibly happy if with my help the world becomes richer by at least one more passionate hoya enthusiast:)
